Selling Information Security to Upper Management
Presented by Kevin Beaver
Synopsis:
Convincing upper management on the importance of information security
is perhaps the toughest task any security administrator or manager
will ever be faced with. However, it must be done in order to
ensure information security success within the organization. In
this presentation, Kevin Beaver will demonstrate how to take the
technical aspects out of information security initiatives and
turn them around to help show business value to upper managers
in order to get their buy-in and ongoing support. Kevin will discuss
overall strategies including what to do and what not to do, specific
wording and communications methods to use, as well as real-world
anecdotes to share in order to prove that information security
is indeed a requirement for business survival.
